It takes a village and we are looking for volunteers to join that village! If you would like more information, please send an email to altovv24@gmail.com
A BIG THANK YOU to Kristin Whitten, Heather Postma and Katie Brood for organizing such a terrific Ice Cream Social last night!
The Book Fair is coming to Alto!
The book fair will be held this year during the week of conferences (10/14-10/17). The "fair" will be open during conferences and lunches!
Just a friendly reminder: We need your help by completing the lunch forms!
If you haven't already, please go to the Infinite Campus Family Portal and click "Apply for Benefits." Attached is a flyer with more information. Anyone who thinks they may fall under the free or reduced eligibility requirements is encouraged to fill out a form.
Why do we still need the forms?
- Our At-Risk and Title I grants are directly impacted by these numbers. Fewer free/reduced determinations (based on forms returned) means fewer resources for literacy and math intervention, among other programs. MDE told us that some districts will see big decreases in their funding this year due to last year's form numbers.
- Some school fees may be waived or reduced if your application is approved as free or reduced.
- More forms means the federal lunch program pays for more of the cost of free school meals, making it more likely that the state's program will continue.
