Sunset Lake Synergy
Hello Sunset Lake Families,
It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the final stretch of the school year!
As we begin our last marking period, the weeks ahead promise to be a whirlwind of activity. From the MSTEP state assessment to field trips, our PTSO FUN RUN and other end of year celebrations, our calendar is brimming with opportunities for growth, learning, and fun.
During this busy season, it’s especially important to maintain consistent routines at home. Regular bedtimes and structured evenings can help our students feel rested and ready to tackle their days with focus and energy. With the excitement of extracurricular activities and beautiful spring weather, I know this can be a challenge—but a little consistency goes a long way in supporting your child’s success, both academically and emotionally.
Together, we can finish the year strong and make this marking period the best one yet!
ROAR Assembly
We are excited that at the end of this month we will be hosting Al the Respect Guy with a Respect Others Act Responsibly (ROAR) for a K-2 and 3-5 assembly. See below for more information.
PTSO News:. Next Meeting is April 15th. In April all nominations for board positions need to be submitted for the Executive Board to review. Two positions (Secretary & Treasurer) will be up for nominations due to a resignation and a three year term limit. After the executive board reviews the nominations, a vote is taken at the May PTSO meeting.
25-26 Kindergarten Enrollment:
We had a greeat Kindergarten Kick-off this week! It was exciting to see current families and meet some new ones who will be bringing their young learners and leaders to Sunset Lake for our 25-26 school year.
*Please contact our office at 321-1550 if you have a child who will be 5 before September 1, to enroll your child for next school year and spread the word to others our Kindergarten Enrollment is in full force.

Jeannie Cleaning supports Educators’ Mental Health
Teaching is one of the most rewarding yet demanding professions, often leaving little time for self-care. But did you know that a clean and organized home can play a powerful role in supporting educators' mental health? Here's how:
Reduces Stress: A clutter-free environment helps lower stress levels by creating a sense of order and control, which is essential for teachers managing hectic schedules and heavy workloads.
Boosts Focus: A tidy space minimizes distractions, allowing educators to recharge and refocus after long days in the classroom.
Improves Emotional Well-being: Cleaning can be therapeutic, offering a calming outlet to process emotions and combat burnout.
By prioritizing a clean home—or even outsourcing cleaning tasks—educators can reclaim their mental space, improve their resilience, and create an environment that fosters rest and renewal. Let’s support our teachers by encouraging small steps toward self-care!
