Thank you to all parents and students who were able to join us for a very successful family bingo night! We had a great turnout and many prizes were won!

Don't forget to turn in your signup and money for the father/daughter and mother/son events coming up! There are flyers in the office so please let us know if we need to send one home with your child. Tickets for these events cannot be purchased online this year.

Please note that our enrollment for returning students is open. The sooner you enroll your students, the easier it is for us to determine staffing needs so thank you for getting that completed.

Finally, as a follow up to the email sent by our district on Monday, please remember that we will have our dental screenings at GRE on Wednesday, Feb 8. Please contact Nurse Karla only if you would like your child to be opted out of the dental screenings. kholton@usd458.org

Here is a message from Alan Lubert, Community Relations Manager at Ronald McDonald House:

A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams. Ronald McDonald House is reinforced by gazillions of pop-tabs! On behalf of RMH families, we are grateful for your stick-to-it-tive-ness collecting pop-tabs. Pop-tabs teach an important lesson: even little things make a big difference. In 2022, RMHC Kansas City recycled 18,400 lbs. of tabs, earning $10,600. RMH staff members appreciate your leadership, "pulling" for The House That Love Built.

Thanks to dedicated pop-tab collectors, RMH parents can focus on what's important -- reading a story, sharing a giggle, or drying tears -- care that makes a world of difference in a child's recovery. Good things happen when people work together. By supporting our families you give the most vital gift of all: hope.

Each time we meet in our Eagles Nests, we work on a team-building activity and often times, we will do a civic engagement activity. On Tuesday when we met, we made Valentine's Day wreaths that will be hung on the residents' doors at Vintage Park of Tonganoxie, an assisted living facility. Students did such a nice job and seem to enjoy knowing how they will make the residents smile with the wreaths!
