Davis Bilingual Magnet
October Newsletter
Dear Davis Families,
It’s hard to believe we’ve already completed the first quarter of the school year! I am incredibly proud of our students and the growth we’ve seen over the past few months. One of the best ways for students to continue this growth is by reading every day. I also encourage them to engage in Math and Literacy sessions through I-Ready and Imagine Learning, both of which are accessible to all students from home. If you’re unsure how to log in, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher.
Parent-Teacher Conferences Feedback
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Parent-Teacher Conferences held in September. Your input is invaluable, and we’d love to hear more from you! To help us continue improving as educators, please share your thoughts using this feedback LINK
Attendance Congratulations!
A huge congratulations to Sra. Torres's 3rd grade class for winning the First Quarter Attendance Prize! They had the fewest tardies and the best overall attendance. Great job, students! Keep up the excellent work as we continue striving for strong attendance throughout the year. We cannot stress enough how important regular attendance is for student success. Research shows that students who miss more than 8 days of school can experience significant learning gaps. Let’s work together to ensure our students are in school every day, ready to learn and grow.
Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to a successful second quarter!
Warm regards,
Marisela Campillo
Principal

Tax Credit
Now through April 15th, 2025, you can take advantage of the Arizona Public School Tax Credit to pay the income tax you owe directly to Davis Bilingual Magnet. In the state of Arizona, you get your tax credit contribution back subject to the limits of your tax liability.
What should I mark when I make my donation online?
We are especially grateful for donations marked “Undesignated,” as that allows us to put your donation towards a specialist position on our campus (P.E., Garden, Art, etc). Thank you for supporting us as we raise funds to keep these important positions.
What if I already made a payment for Extended Day?
Many of you made a payment for Extended Day. Kindly note that you may be able to take advantage of the federal Child and Dependent Care Credit, as Extended Day supports parents who pay for childcare so that they may work outside of the home. Please consult your tax professional for more details. This may allow you to make an additional contribution to Davis (in addition to Extended Day) and claim the Arizona tax credit, for up to $400, per the information above.
