Back to School Night Was a Success!
Thank you to all those parents/guardians that attended our Back to School Night last week. It was great to see such a large group in attendance. Thank you for visiting all our tables as well. It was a very productive evening and we look forward to seeing you all again in November for conferences.
Linked below is our presentation for that night. As always, if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to reach out to us.
Important Letters for Review
Below you will find several important letters that we ask you read and review with your student. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Attendance Review
If your child is going to be absent or late, we ask that you please report the absence via the parent portal. See the link below for instructions on adding an absence to the portal:
Attendance is taken after the 7:25am bell at the start of homeroom. If you have not reported the absence/tardy by 8:00am, you will receive an automated phone call regarding the absence. If you have already reported the absence, you can disregard the automated call.
We have updated our district's attendance policy and procedures. You can refer to the letter sent to parents from Mr. Dickstein linked here.
Early Pick Up Review
If you plan on picking up your child early, we request prior notification through the parent portal. Please refer to these Daily Pick Up Release Instructions.
When you arrive to the school, please have your license ready. Students will be called out of class once the parent/guardian has arrived and your ID has been checked. We ask that you complete the sign out form located outside by the main entrance and a staff member will be out to collect it. Students are required to check into the main office prior to exiting the building. They are not permitted to leave on their own.
Items Being Dropped Off
There is a bin located outside of the main entrance for items to be dropped off for your convenience. It is not necessary to ring the bell or call the office to let us know.
When you arrive, we ask that the item be labeled with the students name and grade. Pens and labels are available on the cart by the door. Staff members will be collecting the items throughout the day.
Lunches and water bottles are brought to the cafeteria for student pick up at their lunch period. If the items are for after school activities, the students will need to come to the office to retrieve them at the end of the day. They will not be called down to pick them up.
Due to security protocols, staff will not be coming to the door to retrieve any items.
