Message from the Superintendent
This month we are sharing basic information about the Operational Referendum. Below we attached two videos that we previously shared on our social media account. We will continue to provide information on the referendum, in a variety of platforms, each week. Furthermore, we encourage any interested CSD stakeholder to go to the referendum website. On the referendum website, you will find scheduled Referendum Information Events, FAQ, and additional resources. Our delay in getting the newsletter out this month was because we wanted to have a comprehensive event schedule prior to sharing it. Please know that we will be updating the website frequently.
On a different topic, you may recall my section of the November Newsletter. In that newsletter, I referenced our desire to reevaluate our strategic action steps and Legacy Priority areas. With the referendum looming, there are two different schools of thought. One, we can wait for the result of the referendum before moving forward with this work. The other option is to engage in this work prior to the referendum. We determined that conducting this work now, and not waiting, is best for us. It will be valuable having community input regardless of the referendum outcome. Coming soon you will be shared a variety of ways that you will be able to participate. We will share this info through our Infinite Campus Messaging (email), social media, and on the CSD website. We recognize that two key district items running simultaneously can be confusing. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

2024-2025 Inclement Weather/School Cancellations
For your safety and that of your children, this message is to inform you of how you will be notified of weather-related school closings. All parents who have updated information with the district on file should receive an email, text message, or phone call from the school informing them of a school closing. Your communication method that you receive will be based on what you selected as a preference for Infinite Campus. The most common types of weather-related school closings are: full-day school closing, 2-hour delay, or early dismissal. Early childhood and 4K typically follow the same closing schedule. In the event of a 2-hour delay, there usually is no school for early childhood or AM 4K, either. On days with a 2-hour delay, typically afternoon 4K students will have school. There could be an occasion where PM 4K is canceled in anticipation of a possible early release.
If you have recently changed your phone number or email address, please check with the office at your child's school to see if we have your most up to date contact information on file. Let's have a safe and warm winter together!
Winter is here... Are you prepared to face the cold?
