Thornton Wilder’s classic takes the audience into the lives of the small-town Grover’s Corners community, exploring themes of love, family, and the passing of time. With talented student actors and a timeless story, the production offers an unforgettable glimpse into everyday life that is both touching and thought-provoking. Don’t miss this chance to experience the beauty of Our Town performed by our very own students!
Football Takes Share of League Title
Beckman High School’s football team finished their 2024-25 season with an impressive 9-1 record, sharing the league title in one of their best seasons ever. This achievement is the result of hard work by an outstanding group of seniors who have led the team with dedication and resilience. With the support of their coaching staff, these players have set a new standard for Beckman football, making their school and community proud. As the team heads into the CIF playoffs, they are determined to keep their momentum and make a deep run. For more on their playoff schedule, visit cifss.org.
Flag Football
The Beckman girls flag football team had a league record of 5-3 and an overall record of 11-15. However, they found their momentum just in time for the CIF playoffs, where they caught fire and advanced to the semifinals with an impressive three-game winning streak. Notably, they achieved a major upset by defeating the number one overall seed, showcasing their resilience and skill when it mattered most. Ultimately, the girls lost in the semi-finals to San Clemente, but it was a great experience for our athletes!
Star Wars Concert
Our orchestra recently put on a show from "a galaxy far, far away..." As they played music from the Star Wars movie. While the orchestra played famous themes from Star Wars, big-screen clips from the films played in sync. The music and movie moments fit perfectly, making the audience feel like they were part of the action. Fans enjoyed the excitement and emotion, as if they were on a journey through the Star Wars galaxy.
Arts: The Eight
The teachers within the VAPA department select a student(s) to highlight each month. Each student is chosen because of their dedication and demonstration of professionalism through integrity, accountability, and perseverance. They overcome challenges and further pursue their knowledge in the arts to become successful. We are incredibly proud of who these young adults are becoming!
Link Cru Freshman Check In
On Wednesday, October 30th, our 9th grade students were given the opportunity to meet with their Junior/Senior Mentor Link Cru Leaders as their exact group from Freshmen Orientation! We are so grateful to have such amazing Beckman Link Cru Leaders who are interested and invested in mentoring, guiding and encouraging our next generation of Beckman Patriots. Thank you to all who attended and we look forward to our current 9th grade students becoming Link Cru leaders in the near future to serve more students!
Dia de Los Muertos
Our high school Spanish classes just wrapped up a hands-on celebration of Día de los Muertos. Students dove into this meaningful holiday by making traditional masks, designing their own T-shirts, and putting together visual displays. Through these creative projects, they got a real feel for the customs and symbolism of honoring loved ones who have passed away. The whole experience brought the traditions of Día de los Muertos to life in a way that made it easy to connect with and appreciate.
