Principal Update

Dear Families,

We hope that all our families are safe and recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Milton and the tornadoes that have affected our communities. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone across the state of Florida during this challenging time.

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the Monday (10/7) and Tuesday (10/8) and celebrate the culmination of our PYP IB visit. We have so much to be proud of! Thank you all for showcasing how the IB mindset is alive and thriving within our school and community. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with no matters to address—only valuable suggestions for continuing to embrace our IB commitment.

A special thank you to Mrs. Hanza for her hard work, guidance, and unwavering passion for our school's success. Your dedication truly shines! I also want to extend my gratitude to the leadership team, teachers, staff and parents who participated in group sessions. Your contributions, no matter how big or small, do not go unnoticed.

As a reminder, Monday is no school for students and will be our professional development day for teachers, and we are excited to welcome all students back on campus on Tuesday. We look forward to seeing our families and students return!

Thank you to all of the families who participate in Harvest Fest. While I’m sad we had to cancel, I would be remiss if I didn’t thank all of our behind the scenes help that makes this event possible each year.

FortifyFL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows students to instantly relay information to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials.

QUICK AND EASY SAFETY TIP SUBMISSION

By accessing FortifyFL, students can provide a description of the threat, share pics, and videos and optionally submit their contact information. Submissions can be anonymous or non-anonymous. Submitting a tip is quick and easy using our mobile app or website.

All Franklin Academy students have access to FortifyFL via their Clever portal dashboard.

PTO Membership

Help make the 2024-2025 year be our best yet by joining the PTO. Membership is $15 per family. Joining PTO entitles you to preferred access to volunteering at our top events like Franklin Feast, Field Day & more. Our first PTO meeting is in person on September 11th at 6PM.
