Dear Community Members,

First Holy Communion

What a celebration we witnessed on Sunday. Our Year 4 and a few Year 5 students participated in First Holy Communion, supported by their families, catechists and teachers. It was such a special morning, celebrated beautifully by Fr Emmanuel. You would have been so proud of our children on Sunday, all the students understood the importance of the occasion and were so respectful and reverent. This comes from the great support they received from Miss Micale, Mrs Sims, Mrs Pintaudi and Mrs Gawen.

After the celebration we had a wonderful morning tea organised by the Year 3 families. Those who have followed along with our Sacraments this year, will also be happy to know that the cake table was extremely sturdy…..this time.

ySafe Parent Session

Tonight (August 8) we host a ySafe Cyber Safety Parent Information Session in our Hall commencing at 6:30pm. ySafe are a leading cyber safety educator, having taught 600,000 students Australia wide. They will primarily speak about social media, gaming, screen time and how to set up a cyber safe home. To RSVP, please click the link below:

Performing Arts

What an outstanding few weeks we have had at Holy Spirit, viewing our musicians in action at assembly. If you haven’t had the privilege of hearing these outstanding kids, lock 9am on Friday in your diary. Our guitarists are up this week. I love this feature of our school, the performances are such a tangible example of how dedication towards a task reaps so many rewards.

Holy Spirit Netballers

We wish our Holy Spirit Netball team well as they compete at the West Coast Fever Cup this coming Thursday. They have gained entry into this competition after successfully winning the Term 2 Interschool Competition. Go HS!

HSPS Tipping

Well done to The Keffords, who hold a 1 tip advantage going into Round 22 in the AFL season. There is still plenty of time to move up and down. You know who I will be tipping this coming Friday…..eek! Good luck to The Matilda's in the quarter final of the World Cup this Saturday, what a feast of sporting goodness we have coming up!

Holy Spirit is delighted to offer After School Child Care

When: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

Times: 2.50pm to 6.00pm

Cost: $39 per session

Years: Kindy to Year 6

(Children can attend in the calendar year they are due to turn four by 30th June)

For students in Kindy and Pre-primary, OSHC staff will pick up at the classrooms as per our school policy.
