Hello Graham Family,
I hope you and your families are doing well.
With the weather changing, we need to be mindful of allergies. Environmental factors—like changing seasons, fluctuating temperatures, and higher humidity levels—can affect those who suffer from allergies. Please make sure your student has the appropriate medicine. They won't be able to take the medicine themselves. It needs to be given to the office so we can ensure the appropriate dosage is given. Call the office for further details.
We are all excited about the weather getting warmer! I am noticing that our lost and found is growing every day. It is growing so fast that we don't have anywhere to keep it. So we donate any items not picked up to the Salvation Army. The date we are donating clothes to the Salvation Army is Friday, May 10th. If you would like to check the lost and found for any of your student's items, you are free to do so. You just need to call and make an appointment to come and look through the items. I need you to make an appointment because of our new security protocols.
Reminders:
We are still M-Step testing. Please ensure your student gets a good night's sleep and a good breakfast (remember, breakfast is served at school for free).
Thank you. Arrival and Dismissal have been going well. During morning drop-offs, if you feel you want to get out of your vehicle to assist your student, we need you to pull to the end of the street. This will allow you to take your time and avoid traffic backing up.
As we evolve in making Graham safe. We have decided to enhance our building entry protocols. Here are the steps:
1. When approaching the building push the button on the right-hand brick wall to alert security and the office you are here.
2. From the speaker you will be asked the nature of your visit.
3. If you have an appointment you will be buzzed in. You will enter the building and go through the weapons protector.
4. Security will ask for your license to run through our Raptor system to provide you with a personal visitor pass.
5. Whoever schedules the appointment will be at the door to escort the visitor to the meeting place.
6. To give our full attention to the learning environment we are requiring that all visitors have an appointment to see school personnel.
I am excited to share information about the upcoming bond. Click the bond information in blue bond information found here. Also, please take a look at the attachment.
We look forward to seeing you at the Fun Fair on May 18th. This newsletter has more details.
Thank you for all you do to support your student/students and Graham Elementary. You are appreciated!
Best Regards,
