A Prayer for Catholic Schools
Almighty God,
You sent forth your Son as a beacon of hope for all people.
As Teacher, he has given us the prime example of the importance of education.
As disciples, we look to him for inspiration and strength.
Thank you for the many people who have dedicated their lives in service to our Catholic Schools.
Thank you for the teachers and administrators who sustain our schools.
Thank you for the parents who have given support and witness to the importance of Catholic education.
Thank you for the students who work hard to further their education.
Bless Holy Trinity Catholic School and the many people who advance our mission.
May our school be a home for those who seek to grow in openness, faith, love, intellect, and commitment to justice.
In your name, we pray.
Amen

Catholic Social Responsibility Guidebook
The Archdiocese has developed a Catholic Social Responsibility Guidebook for all of the Catholic schools in our 10-county Archdiocese in southeastern Wisconsin.
The concept of Catholic Social Responsibility is not new. In fact, rooted in Scripture, and the teachings of the Church, it has always been an important focus of our Catholic school curriculum and programming. What’s new about this approach is that our school leaders have organized a framework to ensure that Catholic Social Teachings are integrated into every aspect of school life.
Information for parents about the Catholic Social Responsibility Guidebook, including introductory videos in English and Spanish, is available at https://www.archmil.org/Education/Catholic-Social-Responsibility.htm.

A Note from Mrs. Longden
This week is usually one of the most favorite and memorable weeks of the entire school year with students who attend Catholic schools. We celebrate every day with fun activities, dressing crazy, and taking special trips. Catholic Schools Week is a national celebration of all Catholic schools who teach preschoolers through 12th graders. There are nearly 6000 schools who educate hundreds of thousands of students.
Our mission to educate our children within the environment of faith is tried and true! We are successful in forming our future leaders and learners. Catholic schools have teachers and staff members who believe in their ministry and guide students to know God personally. We practice by praying, we educate by classroom study, and we develop hearts for service to others.
Catholic schools are so special in many ways and we are so lucky to have Holy Trinity Catholic School that is thriving and educating as it has done for many years.
As we celebrated Catholic Schools week this week, we remember to give thanks to God for the blessing of having a parish school. Our school is a legacy handed on from the very beginnings of our city. Our forebears recognized the importance of having a solid education not only in the 3 R’s (Reading, ‘Riting, ‘Rithmatic), but also the 4th R (Religion).
Unlike the days when our school was founded when culture and society were informed by and lived out within the context of our Christian faith, today’s culture and society are radically secular to the life of faith. Our Catholic schools are sanctuaries where we can raise and form the next generation of leaders to engage with culture and society with a foundation of faith and critical thinking abilities attuned to the workings of God in the world.
We thank our principals, teachers, staff, parents, parishioners, and families for their hard work and sacrifices to keep our schools strong and our children safe. We have a great school here at Holy Trinity and a top-notch staff! We are truly blessed. Please take a moment out of your busy week to say “Thank you” to our staff for their hard work in these difficult times.
And “THANK YOU” for your support of our parish and school!
Blessings,
Mrs. Longden
