November 2024
Dear Families,
We have some exciting news to share with you about our schools' vision. This core statement guides our educational journey and sets the tone for our school's identity and direction.
To make our vision even more relevant and reflective of our school community, we've embarked on a rewrite project. We believe this is a crucial step in ensuring that our goals and aspirations align with the changing needs and expectations of our students, parents, staff, and community.
We want to invite you to be a part of this exciting process. Your input and feedback are invaluable in shaping the future of our school. We believe that involving all stakeholders will result in a vision statement that truly represents our collective aspirations for our students and the school.
Please take a moment to fill out this quick Mentimeter Survey (Click Here) asking the question below.
We will collect and analyze the information to serve as a starting point in creating the foundational pieces of our rewrite! Once we receive input from all stakeholder groups, the West Hills STEM Academy LEadER team will begin drafting a new vision. In late winter, early spring we will reach out again asking for your thoughts on the draft.
Your involvement is an essential part of this journey, and we genuinely appreciate your dedication and passion for our school. Thank you for being a part of our school community, and we can't wait to embark on this exciting vision rewrite adventure with you!
Warmest Wishes,
Kimberly Powell and Carre Potis
Changes to Dismissal and Pick Up
Parents and guardians will need to use designated pick-up passes for both carline pick-up and gate pick-up. If you are in the carline simply put the pass in your window. If you are picking up from the back gate walk up to the person at the gate and show them the pass.
To receive your family's passes, please stop by the office during conferences and present a valid ID.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us ensure the safety and comfort of all students.
Federal Impact Aid forms
Have you completed your Federal Impact Aid form?
It only takes a few minutes and can help secure funding for the District - funding that benefits ALL students!
You can complete the form online by logging into Skyward, or contact the West Hills STEM Academy office to request a copy in writing (we can send it home with your student if helpful!).
