Happy Friday the 13th!

I am pleased to share our School Performance Framework with you! Lenski did incredibly well! The Performance Framework is similar to a “report card” for each school throughout Colorado. This data is measured from the CMAS assessments that 3rd-5th grade students take each year. We are up over 4.2 % points from last year, with highlights in achievement in math and literacy and growth in math! I am proud of our staff and their dedication to encouraging students to grow and achieve high levels. Lenski is genuinely one of the best elementary schools in Colorado! We couldn’t do it without the love and support of you all. Thank you!

Successful Restaurant Night!

Thank you to everyone who participated in Lenski Restaurant Night at Red Robin yesterday! Our 20% kickback was $673.65! Thank you to PTO and you all for supporting Lenski!

Reminders

We love our visitors! Please remember that you must sign in on the computer and get a badge when visiting. This is the case whether you are visiting for lunch, dropping something off or walking your child to their classroom in the morning. Thank you for helping to keep our school safe.

Please remember to complete your Annual Family Check-in which can be found on your Infinite Campus Family Portal. Please call the office if you have difficulty accessing your account.

Music Performances

All Music performance dates have been set for the school year, so please mark your calendars and share with family and friends! These performances involve ALL students at their grade level, and the expectation and hope is for ALL students to participate in this BIG DEAL EVENT! Individual information sheets will be coming home with students approximately one month before each performance date. Please reach out to Mrs. Gregory at agregory@lps.k12.co.us if you have any questions or suggestions.

Thursday, October 24, 5:30-6:00 in MPR.

–2nd grade

Tuesday, November 19 in MPR.

Group A (2 classes) = 8:15-8:45
Group B (other 2 classes) = 9:15-9:45.

–5th grade

Thursday, December 5 in MPR. 2 family performances times

Group A (2 groups) = 5:30-6:00
Group B (Combo + 1 group) = 6:30-7:00

–3rd grade

Thursday, February 6, 5:30-6:00 in MPR.

–1st grade

Thursday, February 27 - in the GYMNASIUM

Group A: 1:00-1:30 p.m.
Group B: 2:00-2:30 p.m.

From the Counselors

This month at Lenski we are focusing on being respectful and being an Upstander! An upstander is a person who believes everyone should be treated fairly and respectfully, and making sure that happens. When we see unkind behavior happening, we want to say things like:

Hey, that’s not kind. How do you think people feel when you say that?
You look sad. Do you want to play with me?
Let’s include everyone!
We don’t treat people like that at Lenski.
It’s ok, we all make mistakes.

Upstanders also:

Include people when we are playing.
Use kind words with each other.
Respect each other’s differences.

Costume Drive Alert!

Hey Everyone! We're excited to announce our Costume Drive running from September 9th to October 1st. Help us spread the Halloween spirit while making a positive impact on the environment.

Drop off your gently used costumes and accessories in the collection box located in the front vestibule of our school's main entrance. Every donation helps reduce textile waste and gives another child a chance to shine this Halloween!

Did you know? Each Halloween, an estimated 2000 tons of costumes end up in landfills. That's a scary amount of waste! Let's work together to reduce this impact and promote sustainability.
