Week 3 Term 4 SFDS Newsletter
St Francis de Sales - 2 November 2021
TRACY'S MESSAGE
Kia ora Ano
A huge thank you to our community and to our FANTASTIC PSL for a fun packed SFDS Quiz night on Friday! It was so great to see many whānau and staff having fun and connecting!
The auction was amazing and our PSL had out done themselves with sourcing the donated items. They had also made up the most beautiful raffle baskets! Thank you for supporting our tamariki at St Francis.
We will let you all know how much we raised once final numbers are in. Again, thank you PSL - you all embody our value of generosity.
Our Papatuanuku and Ranginui teams had a wonderful day at our school athletics yesterday. Lots of challenge and fun and as always it is fantastic to see our learners encouraging each other. Huge thanks to our whānau helpers, we couldn’t have managed without you!
Over the last wee while, our BOT have been looking at how we can change our learners’ uniform to be more inclusive! A few tamariki have had a look at what we are proposing and are keen for the below uniform. Check out how lovely our models look!
The uniform will be unisex. We will be offering options of shorts or skorts, a t-shirt with the school logo and fully lined polar fleece jacket, navy socks and black shoes. In winter there will be the option of a skivvy and track pants. The sports uniform will stay the same. The new proposed uniform is a lot more cost effective than our current options!
We are keen for your feedback so feel free to email our BOT board@sfds.school.nz
and if you’d like to see/feel the uniform call the office to make a time.
We are looking at phasing this in over 2022-2023.
Congratulations to Sebastian R for receiving The Principal’s Cup last week Seb is an amazing young man who consistently supports our school values and school projects.
Have a wonderful week and take care.
