Community Commitment 10.24.24
Reduced visits to the Principal for recess behaviors over the past few weeks would suggest that we have seen an improvement in our recess and sports behaviors and students have followed the commitments we have made! Thank you parents for your support.
This week's school commitment will be focused on Ignoring Distractions and no Eruptions (during direct instruction).
Ms. Plotner will be sharing the commitment on Friday, October 25th.
As we finish the first quarter, we as a school are going to ensure that we revisit norms and expectations in the classroom. This go around we would like to commit to ignoring distractions and limiting eruptions during direct instruction.
Parents you can help:
Ask you children if they can explain an eruption, and what direct instruction is. Also ask them to explain why quiet is important for our brains.
For this commitment, Mr. Lynch's secret detectives will be coming into classrooms and seeing how often classrooms are adhering to these commitments. Ignoring distractions and the limiting eruptions during direct instruction will earn extra recess!
