Giving Back to the Community
The Wright Way Club (WWC), a peer leadership program, has been busy with projects that provide families and individuals with much needed support.
- Please send in unopened food - canned meat, peanut butter, boxed pasta, and other items noted in this flyer for the Vernon Township Food Pantry through tomorrow, Nov. 22, to help families who are in need of assistance.
- A local women's shelter is requesting new, unwrapped toys, to give to their children for the holidays. Please purchase toys and send them in after Thanksgiving Break.
- Recently WWC raised $700, for Fill A Heart 4 Kids. as seen in these photos of students. The Fill A Heart 4 Kids organization provides homeless, at-risk, and foster children food, critical necessities, life skills, and educational support.
"These fundraisers are a great way for our students to see first hand that small efforts can make a big impact," said Ioana Ligdas, who sponsors WWC with Jackie Solway.

Register for the Spelling Bee by Nov 29

This competition is open only to students in grades 4-8. To participate in the spelling bee, your child must register by Friday, Nov. 29, on the online testing platform. Review the words, School Study List 2025 and watch this video tutorial that will walk you through the registration process.
Once you have registered, the spelling bee coordinator will assign the appropriate test to your child. The test will be available only on Wednesday, Dec. 4 and Thursday, Dec. 5. Your child must complete the test by the deadline. The qualifying test will be administered at home. The top five students from each grade with the highest scores will advance to the district-level competition.
