Good morning Sperreng,
Last week we had a memorable week with Halloween, our Halloween Fun Run and Friday's Professional Learning Day with Sperreng staff. Please check out the eNote for reminders that we do not have school this Monday or Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday WILL be block days.
Also, please be sure to pass along information regarding our Veterans Parade on Thursday, November 14, to our veterans in the community. The RSVP can be found below.

Sperreng Veterans Day Parade Information
This year, we will once again honor our veterans with a parade style event at Sperreng. Save the date for this memorable event! Check out the map below, invite veterans, and send us an RSVP if you can with a picture of your veteran!
Elect to Read
Through the month of October, Sperreng students have been learning about the election process through the Elect to Read campaign. They learned about the overall election process, a caucus vs a primary, campaigns, and the Electoral College. They voted each week in class to narrow the vote from 16 books to a final 2 candidates. On October 30 and 31 students voted in person the library for their favorite book, complete with I voted stickers. The winner with 63.5% of the final 781 votes was Ground Zero by Alan Gratz!
8th Grade Sperreng Basketball
Attention 8th Grade Basketball Players: The Sperreng Basketball Team will be holding our tryouts for the 2024-2025 season soon! Girls will be on Tuesday, November 19th at 3PM. Boys will be on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 20-21 at 3pm. Both will be held in the large gym. Please use the QR code below or check your email for a link to sign-up (Students MUST do the sign-up. Candy Collection for Interact Club
Interact Club will be collecting Halloween Candy from November 6-15 to donate to Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms and the USO. Candy can be dropped off in the library and the office. Thanks! (Poster made by student Sarah F.)
Winter Color Guard

2025-26 School Year Calendar Now Available
The Lindbergh Schools Board of Education voted to approve the 2025-26 school year calendar. The first day of school for students will be on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, and the last day will be on Friday, May 22, 2026. For more details, please click the link below.

Winter Wear Drive
Builder's Club & Lindbergh Schools / Kiwanis Sunset Hills/ Crestwood Gently Used Winter Wear Drive Monday,
October 7, - Friday, November 15, 2024
Lindbergh Schools in cooperation with the Kiwanis, Crestwood-Sunset Hills, will be collecting new or
gently used winter wear items for students in need. Please bring new or gently used coats, mittens, hats,
boots, gloves, scarves, earmuffs, ski masks, snow pants, warm socks, or thermal underwear, and place
them in the blue bin that will be in our school lobby. The winter wear drive will take place from Monday,
Oct. 7- Friday, November 15, 2024. Items will benefit students in Lindbergh Schools, Angel’s Arms,
Meramec, Monroe, and Patrick Henry elementary schools in St. Louis City; just to name a few.
