Principal Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As our fall turns cooler there are still lots of exciting things happening at Wildwood School.
On Monday our Grade 1-3 Basketball after school program started.
This week also saw the return of our lunch and snack program provided by Brightwood Ranch, this partnership helps to make sure that students that do not have a lunch or are in need of a little more food have access to heathy options. They will also be returning to their Thursday hot breakfast program starting October 17th.
At this was fire safety week, the Yellowhead County Fire Department visited each of our classes and talked about fire safety.
Also on Tuesday our newly reformed School Council meet and discussed many things related to the school, including plans to support our breakfast programs, and upcoming hot lunches. The draft operating procedures are ready for review and can be found linked in this newsletter. The council will be voting on them at the next meeting on November 12th at 3:45.
A reminder that next week we will have no school on Monday for Thanksgiving. We also have Student Photo day on Wednesday(see poster for more details)
Coming up on October 23th and 24th Parent Teacher interviews are happening. You can sign up online for them here.
If you have any questions or concerns you can always reach out to the school through the office or email me at alanstoy@gypsd.ca.
Sincerely,
Alan Stoyles
Principal
