From the Principal...
Hello Western Valley Middle School Community,
We have had a great start to the new school year! I am thrilled to introduce myself as your new principal. It is an honor to join the Western Valley community, and I am looking forward to the exciting journey ahead.
This is my twenty-fifth year in education. I have been teaching, leading, and learning along with students in both private and public schools for many years. I have a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin, two master's degrees (one in technology and one in at-risk and alternative education), and a doctorate in educational leadership. I am currently working on my third master's degree in adult education and training, and I am excited to continue learning.
Originally from Wisconsin, I moved to Arizona three years ago with my husband and dogs. Our five grown children are still in the mid-west, and I have one grandchild. I enjoy going to movies and relaxing with my dogs Bean, Rocco, and Guiseppe.
At Western Valley Middle School, our focus this year will be on strengthening our community connections; enhancing our reading, writing, and math skills; and celebrating our successes in music and athletics. Together, we will create an environment where every student can thrive and achieve their full potential.
I am confident that with our collective efforts, this school year will be amazing. Let’s make it a memorable and successful year. Go, Wildcats!
Respectfully,
Dr. Stephanie Nardi

Important Cell Phone Policy Information...
To maintain a focused and respectful learning environment, we have a clear policy regarding cell phones and wearable tech:
- All cell phones must be turned off and kept in backpacks throughout the school day. This includes lunch, recess, and passing periods.
- If a cell phone is seen out during the school day, it will be confiscated. The phone can be picked up by a parent or guardian (not the student) in the office after school or before school the following day. This policy will apply to each offense.
- Wearable technology, such as smartwatches, will be subject to the same policy if they become a distraction.
