Headteachers Message
Dear Families
I hope this message finds you well as we reflect on another successful week here at Teddington.
This week, the Teddington Leadership Team have been hard at work organising a Cultures Week filled with activities that celebrate the rich diversity within our school community. Throughout the week, our students explored various cultural traditions highlighted in our "Culture of the Day" posts. In the canteen a variety of culinary delights gave insight into different customs and traditions. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making Cultures Week a resounding success.
This week also marked 'Futures Week' for Year 10 which was facilitated through a series of workshops, visits, and talks. Our students gained invaluable insights into various career paths and industries. Highlights included engaging workshops on marketing and events, visits to Richmond and Kingston College, and hands-on vocational workshops in Motor Mechanics and Textiles. We were also delighted to host James Jordan, News Director for Europe and Africa for the Associated Press, who shared his experiences in Journalism with our students.
I am delighted to inform you that the PTA 80s night was a huge success, providing our community with an opportunity to come together and enjoy a memorable evening. Additionally, I would like to remind you all about the PTA plant sale tomorrow between 10:00 – 12:00, which promises to be another fantastic event supporting our school community.
Finally, a gentle reminder about our school uniform policy, particularly regarding school shoes. Please ensure that students are wearing appropriate school shoes and not trainers, as outlined in our uniform policy. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Have a lovely weekend; we look forward to welcoming student back into school on Monday for a prompt 08:40 start.
Kind regards
Mr P Grills
Headteacher

Weekly Head of Year Message
Dear Families
As we enter our final term, I wanted to take a moment to update you on the exciting developments happening in Year 10.
First and foremost, our Year 10 students are starting their first mock exam period. This marks a significant milestone in their academic journey, and they have impressed everyone around the school with their positive mindset toward preparation and revision. The mock exams will enable students to practise their revision techniques, and to better understand how to work effectively in timed exam conditions. These exams will also provide the students teachers with a clear indication of where they may need additional support to be able to achieve their full potential during the summer 2024 exam period.
During the mock exam period it is critical that Year 10 students attend school on time each day. Any further information can be found through the letter and via the students' Microsoft Teams.
I have every confidence that this period will be a positive learning experience, contributing to our Year 10s future success in their GCSEs.
As always, we appreciate your continued support in guiding our students through this period of their education.
Kind regards
Mr J Rolfe
Head of Year 10
