Gator Greetings
Thank you to all who participated in parent-teacher conferences this week. Our teachers love the opportunity to celebrate their classroom, share how students are progressing academically, and get to know a little bit more about the students from those who know them best: YOU! We know that the strong family partnership and presence we have at Allisonville is one of the things that makes our school great. Thank you, AV families! I enjoyed seeing many of you coming and going from your conferences this week.
Fall officially began yesterday and was ushered in with a chill in the air. We have an overflowing bin of Lost and Found items that have been left behind from cool mornings that turn into hot afternoons. If your child is missing a sweatshirt or water bottle, please have them check the Lost and Found box in the café. This season also brings Fall Field Trips to different grade levels. Kindergarten students are headed to Tuttle Apple Orchards next week and 4th Grade is off to Flat Rock for a 2-day, 1-night camping experience. Field trips are a special way to experience learning in a hands-on fashion and they help to build real-world skills for our students. Have fun Kindergarten and 4th grade! Other grade levels will have more field trip opportunities coming up soon.
We will have this month’s Gator Gathering next Friday, September 30th. Our whole school will go outside to break into our Gator Packs for a team building activity and game. All students should plan to wear their brand-new Gator Pack shirt on Friday! These were given to each student at the August Gator Gathering and represent the pack that they represent.
If you are headed to the NC Homecoming Game tonight, I look forward to seeing you there! Check out some future-panther photos in the Gazette. Go Panthers!

Mark your calendars for Tuesday October 4th, to NOT cook dinner and instead head out to the Broadripple Chipotle at 1002 Broad Ripple Ave for dine in or carry out. Use the flyers below to note the fundraiser for Allisonville PTO as a percentage of all sales will go back to the PTO. A fundraiser AND an excuse not to cook? We call that a WIN WIN!!
