Fellow Mustangs,
As we step into October, we are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support you’ve shown in helping us cultivate a nurturing and engaging environment for our students. Your commitment to their growth, both in the classroom and beyond, shines through every day. We are also thrilled to share that the Big Kahuna fundraiser was a tremendous success! Thanks to your tireless efforts and enthusiasm, we will be able to provide even more resources and opportunities for our students. We can’t thank you enough for all you do to support our school community!

- October 11: Book Fair Begins – Get ready to dive into exciting new books!
- October 14: (NO School) Parent-Teacher Conference (10am - 6pm)
- October 17: Book Fair & Art Show – Halloween Theme – Come check out our creative displays and explore spooky reads! (4:30 - 6:30pm)
- October 24: Science/Math STEM Fair – An opportunity for our students to showcase their scientific discoveries and innovative thinking! (5:30 - 6:45pm)
- October 28: Red Ribbon Week Kickoff (Dress up Days will be posted soon) – Big Kahuna Delivery Date
- October 30: Lifetouch Fall Picture Retakes & City View Annual Trunk or Treat – We’re excited to capture memories and enjoy some spooky fun!
- October 31: Halloween Costume Parade – Let’s see those creative costumes! Have your little ones dress up in their costumes! Masks can be warn during parade, but will need to be in lockers during the school day.

Here is a look at our House System Scoreboard! The House Stallions are in the lead! Students can earn points for good behavior, good effort, class participation, Honor Roll, etc.
We are looking into buying every child a house shirt in the coming weeks.
Reminder that House Day is EVERY Thursday! Encourage your child to dress up in their House Color!

* Lunch times have changed a bit. We wanted to prioritize solid chunks of instruction time throughout the day.
* If you are eating with your child and bring food, please do not share with other students. You may only bring food for your child during lunch. Thank you in advance.
Transportation
Transportation Website Information
Go to our website https://www.cityview-isd.net/o/cves and click on the transportation button in the middle of the screen. This will have the Bus google form as well as a map with bus route information. This is still a work in progress. We are hoping to be done soon.
If you are making same day transportation changes with your child, please contact your child's teacher and please do so before 2:00pm. We will only accept emergency transportation changes after 2pm and those will need to go through the front office with our Secretary Ms. Stone.
If you have to making a change for transportation in advance please contact your child's teacher through the parent square app, writing a parent note, phone call, or email.
Dropoff
Parents may use both drive thru lanes near the school to drop off students. Parents may park on the far drive thru lane (blue) and walk their kids to the entry door. (Red) Lane is for drive thru drop off only. (Yellow) Parents may park in the north parking lot and walk students to the entry doors.
Pickup
Parents may park in the far parking lot towards City View Drive (Red). Parents may also park in north parking lot and walk over and pickup kids.
Yellow X : Kindergarten & 3rd Grade Pick up Spot
Blue X: 1st & 4th Grade Pick up Spot
Green X: 2nd & 5th Pick up Spot
Important Information for Car Riders at Dismissal
If you pick up your child out front, please do not leave your car when you are in the pick up line. The parking lot west of the pickup line closest to City View drive is open for you to park so you can get out to get your child. Please help us with maintaining an efficient pick up line.
If you have children that are being picked up at two different times, please park in the lot west of the pickup line closest to City View Drive or drive through the pick up line twice. Please do not remain parked in the pickup line.
Important Events
TREATOBER
During the month of October, we will be taking donations for TREATOBER! We will have a basket for parents or students to drop off animal food from 7:30am - 4:00pm. All dog and cat food donations will go straight to the Wichita County Humane Society. We will take the goods to the humane society on October 30th!
City View Art Show / Book Fair
We invite your out to our Halloween Art Show! Come out and take a look at the students wonderful art work and stop by the Book Fair and load up on books!
City View Elementary STEM Night
We invite you to be a part of our great night! STEM Night will offer projects and lots of fun! Come out and be a part of this amazing night brought to you by City View Elementary
Parent Teacher Conference

Big Kahuna Fundraiser
Thank you all for your contributions to our Big Kahuna Fundraiser! We greatly appreciate your help! Thanks to you we can continue to celebrate our students with great things!
The Items you ordered will be delivered to the school around 11am on October 28th. Elliot will be in contact with you all so you can pick up items in the elementary cafeteria.

Nurse Information
Important Information
If your student has a health condition please make sure you have entered that into skyward. Please communicate this to Nurse Brittany and your child's teacher(s).
Early Childhood parents of student going into Pre-K and Headstart: Make sure to pack an extra set of students clothings. Accidents do happen! This will help us have access to clothes if needed.
Please fill out these forms below and bring them to Nurse Brittany at Meet the Teacher. These forms are if your student takes daily medication. If you want your child to have access to OTC Meds, you must provide those to the Nurse and fill out the mandatory form.
