Boys Soccer Rallies to Beat Vestavia
HT Boys Soccer scored two goals in the final three minutes Tuesday night to rally for a 3-2 win over Vestavia in the 7A Area 6 opener.
Brennan Greer scored on a penalty kick in the first half following a strong run by Asher Tharp. The game was tied 1-1 at halftime. With the just three minutes left and trailing 2-1, Juan Gomez scored off an assist from Jacob Serena to tie the game. With just over 30 seconds left, Jonathan Emmerich was fouled in the box. Greer scored another penalty kick to win the match.

Baseball Races to 6-0 Start
Hewitt-Trussville Baseball defeated Pelham 7-0 on Monday night to improve to 6-0 overall on the season. Christian Helmers pitched a complete game and allowed just two hits. Steele Hall homered and added a double. Cale McIntosh, Colby Durden, and Drew Ollis all had two hits.
The Huskies will travel to LaGrange, GA for four games this weekend.

Softball Weekly Update
The Varsity Huskies will play at home for the first time on Thursday against Central Phenix City. First pitch is set for 5:30pm. This weekend HT will host the Hewitt Invitational at the Bolts Complex (500 Vulcan Drive Irondale, AL).

They all put amazing routines out on the floor while showing class and great sportsmanship. A special shout out to the JV and middle school competition cheerleaders on their 2nd place finishes at the National High School Cheerleading Championship! With over 1,200 teams in attendance, this is a huge accomplishment!
Tennis Picks up Another Section Win
HT Tennis picked up another 7A Section 3 win last week as the Huskies topped Tuscaloosa County. The HT Girls won 9-0 and the HT Boys won 7-2.
Riley Edwards, AC Monski, Kate Armstrong, Eden Christian, Lyla Hatley, and Bailey Motes all won singles matches. Riley Edwards/AC Monski, Riley Austin/Kate Armstrong, and Eden Christian/Lyla Hatley won in doubles play.
On the Boys' side, Carter Jordan, Kyle Jones, Luke Stutsman, Levi Buckner, and Paul Bethune won singles matches. Kyle Jones/Luke Stutsman and Levi Buckner/Paul Bethune won in doubles play.

Girls Soccer Off to a Strong Start
The Hewitt-Trussville Girls Soccer team is 3-1-1 through the first five games. The Huskies defeated Prattville, tied with Chelsea, and lost to Spain Park last weekend at the Lakeshore Invitational. HT will face Thompson, Northridge, and Foley this weekend.

Hewitt-Trussville Track & Field will open the Outdoor season on Friday with a home meet. Action inside Hewitt-Trussville Stadium is set to begin at 4pm.

Tee it Up Trussville Event
HT Golf will host the "Tee it Up Trussville" event on March 16 at TopGolf. Proceeds support Hewitt-Trussville Golf. Come enjoy two hours of play for just $25!
Boys Golf Opens Season in Mobile
The Hewitt-Trussville Varsity Boys Golf team opened the season by participating in The David Miller Memorial Golf Tournament held at the RTJ Magnolia Grove golf course on February 17th and 18th. The team secured 9th place among 17 competing teams, achieving a cumulative score of 622 over the two-day event.
Colson Rush and Colten Sutton led the team with identical scores of 154, while Miles Darnell followed closely with a score of 155. Drew Davidson contributed to the team's total with a score of 159. This initial performance bodes well for the season, indicating that the team possesses the potential to be highly competitive.
The Huskies will be back in action on March 5 when they compete at RTJ Hampton Cove.

Middle School Baseball Picks up Another Win
The HTMS Baseball team improved to 5-0 overall on the season with a 8-2 win over Oak Mountain Monday night. Christian Shirley was the winning pitcher as he struck out five batters. Axl Hall had three hits and scored three runs.
HTMS Softball Remains Undefeated
The HTMS Softball team defeated Oak Mountain 6-3 on Monday night to improve to 5-0 on the season. Sophia Shubert was the winning pitcher as she pitched all seven innings. Macie Goins scored a pair of runs and Sophie Bullington drove in two runs.
