CIS Weekly Updates

A FRESH START AND NEW BEGINNING.. The second quarter starts this week. Report cards will be visible online starting on Monday, November 4th. Here is a flyer on how to log into Progress Book.

Our third day of conferences is coming up on Thursday, November 7th from 8:10-3:40pm. Thanks to our PTO, we will have a meal available for our teachers! If you would like to help with the meal then please click on the link. Parent Teacher Conference meal. Thanks for your support.

Our lunchtime Gold Tray Award has gone well so far this school year. Each lunch has earned extra recess time and students have made efforts to pick up their areas and keep the volume down. It hasn't been perfect but it has been better than before we started this incentive.

Veterans Day is fast approaching. If you know a veteran, who would like to attend our ceremony, then please share the information below. We look forward to celebrating our veterans on Monday, November 11th.

This month we had our CIS t-shirt design contest and our students are so creative and did a wonderful job with their designs. The winners of the contest are Hattie S. (her design will be on the front) and Rykar L. (his design will be on the back). Thanks to our generous PTO, all students will receive a FREE t-shirt in the coming weeks. Students sizes will be submitted on Wednesday. Congratulations Hattie & Rykar!

VETERANS REGISTRATION: CIS will host their annual Veterans Day Celebration on Monday, November 11th at 2:00pm. Veterans who wish to attend are asked to fill out the Google Form so we can be prepared for you to attend. This will also allow us to know who will be in our building during the Veterans Day Celebration. Please fill out a new form for each veteran. Due to our total capacity in the CIS Auditorium, we encourage only our veterans to attend the celebration. We will record the celebration and send it out to families. *If your veteran needs assistance then please feel free to accompany them. VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION REGISTRATION

VETERANS DAY SLIDESHOW: Students are working on their veterans day slides at school. This is being completed during technology and students are encouraged to add their picture(s) and information in the near future. If you would like a veteran to be captured in the slideshow then please talk with your student about the veterans day slides they are working on at school.

Our lost and found is overflowing with really nice items. Please talk to your student about items they may be missing and ask them to check our lost and found area across from the library.

Our attendance clerk, Mrs. Long, is the contact person for calling off your student and any change of dismissal plans throughout the day. Please call the Attendance Line to reach her and leave a message. The phone number to her desk is 330-335-1481. We recommend you let the attendance desk/teacher know when your student will be absent, leaving early, or arriving late. Letting us know when your child will leave early allows us to be prepared for when you arrive. We ask that all end-of-the-day dismissal plans be made by 2:45 p.m. Thank you for your efforts!
