8th Grade PSAT Testing Reminders
Next week our 8th grade students will be taking the PSAT which covers the topics of math and literacy. The PSAT is an important assessment because it is the precursor of the PSAT assessment that students will take as a junior that is used by colleges and trade schools to help determine enrollment eligibility.
The PSAT test has many stipulations and rules to ensure a fair and secure testing environment. Students will need to be sure to arrive on time Wednesday because once the test begins students will not be allowed to enter a classroom and will be instead placed in an alternative location for testing. Students will need to leave their phones and smart watches in their lockers, if students bring those items into the testing rooms it can invalidate the test for the entire class.
To prepare for the test students should:
- Bring their fully charged Chromebook to School
- Get a good night's worth of sleep before.
- Arrive on Time
- Eat Breakfast
- Have a mindset that they will give their best
Snacks will be provided with scheduled breaks during the testing period. Good Luck 8th Grade Students! Make yourself and our school proud!
