I believe students should know why they have school holidays. Labor Day is a celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers. The first Labor Day was in New York City in 1882 and it became a national holiday in 1894. Our popular Lunch on the Lawn was Sept. 13, then postponed due to construction. Construction is postponed, so Lunch on the Lawn is back on! See lunch times below in the Calendar section. Sept. 13 is also the last day for the Scholastic Book Fair, a great opportunity to ignite a reading habit into our Cubs! Parent helpers at the fair that week would be greatly appreciated! Let the office know if you can help!

It's critical to log on to Aeries Parent Portal to complete the Data Confirmation for the following reasons:

1. It ensures your child's information is accurate so Lodi USD can properly communicate with parents, track student progress, and help keep your child safe.

2. Each child whose account is updated raises money for our school!

3. Parents are informed of schedules and school information.

4. Confirm low income status to be eligible to receive $120 in Sunbucks the following summer.

Roughly a third of our students in grades 3-6 pass the state test in either Language or Math. Some pass both! Students will be celebrated on Sept. 13 at 9:30 with a treat, a certificate of achievement, and recognition. Cubs already received their Cub Tag if they passed or raised their score! Well done, Cubs!
