FID to Follow Three Traditional Snow Days
Flexible Instruction For 2024 - 2025
As part of our ongoing efforts to provide more flexible learning opportunities for our students and to ensure continuity in education, we have made a decision related to Flexible Instruction Days (FIDs) this school year. We will only use FID after we exhaust three traditional snow days.
We are aware that honoring snow days is a tradition that many families enjoy. Our decision to allow three traditional inclement weather days will not interfere with our legal obligation for the minimum number of instructional days required by the state. Please refer to the email sent on October 18 that details our procedures for FID.
Parent-Teacher Conferences Ahead
Entry Plan Update
Student Focus Groups and Survey Preparation
Next week marks the last of the student focus groups across the District. Dr. Rizzo Saunders will have conducted two focus groups each at the high school and middle school and one at each of the elementary schools including Mary D. Lang. Part of the plan has also been spending time at each school. She completed her second week at the high school today.
While key interviews with staff, administrators, community leaders and former superintendents continue, survey questions for all stakeholders are being finalized. Expect to see surveys to contribute your thoughts in the weeks to come.
You can track her progress and view the Entry Plan Calendar at the Superintendent's section of the website.
