Dewing Update

Thanks to Dewing Adjustment Counselor Mr. Waldron (dressed in his Halloween firefighter gear), the school received many new soft animals. Sharing with all the other Tewksbury Schools, these stuffed animals may be shared with children who are going through particularly tough moments and times. The village does care.

The cards, banner, edible arrangement, flowers, books, and other kind expressions from all of the Dewing community were very much appreciated during the convalescence from broken foot surgery. While not running any time soon, there is much gratitude to be back in the halls of the Dewing School.

Parents helping their EL children learn English is a multi-faceted process. Small steps combine to create an eager and capable student. Parents must first understand and believe in the importance of English language skills. Children are adept at picking up on parental attitudes. If children realize the adults in their lives think learning English is important, they will be more likely to approach the subject with a positive attitude. Click here for more info!
