ACT Retake Information

Tuesday, October 22nd at Maryville Virtual School---- All MVS Seniors will retake the ACT test on October 22nd at Maryville Virtual School. This retake is a free, on-line test opportunity provided by the state of Tennessee. The test will be given on the laptop. (Note that taking the ACT is a graduation requirement in the state of Tennessee.)

• Who: ALL MVS Seniors
• When: 8:00 until 12:00
• Where: Maryville Virtual School
• How: Arrive at the MVS front office by 8:00 with a charged laptop, an ID, pencils, and an approved calculator. (See ACT approved calculator info here.)

You will be receiving a personal email with directions to complete the "My ACT Non-Test Information" for the ACT and creating an account in MyACT, the website for providing your non-test information and receiving your scores. Please be sure to complete this information now through October 24th.

Once you receive the personal email with the "My ACT Non-Test Information: Instructions for Students" letter, follow the directions to complete the information. Below is a video showing each step, as well. Note: If you took the ACT already and have an account from last year, please do NOT make a new account. Just login and follow the directions from there.

Maryville High School is hosting an ACT bootcamp Monday, October 14th from 8:30am-3:30pm (MCS Intervention Day) for any interested senior. This session will give you the tools and tips to perform better on the next ACT, and lunch will be provided. Please bring your fully charged laptop, a writing utensil, and a notebook to take any important notes. If you are interested in signing up, please fill out the link below. Spots will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. The deadline to sign up is October 4th.

As an MVS student, you have access to an ACT Review tool within ClassLink! You can choose the subject you want to study and the score range that you are shooting for. Or you can enter your last ACT scores, and the software will create an individualized plan just for you!

To access this ACT Review practice, login to ClassLink through the Login app, and then click on iXL, Skill Plans, Test Prep, and ACT.
