PRINCIPAL POINTS, PRAISES & PRACTICES
Booker Bengals,
We are down to our last week before Thanksgiving and testing is upon us! Due to the amount of testing and preparation that is needed to ensure our scores reflect our efforts, we will close lunch visits for the remainder of the semester. This will allow us the opportunity to prepare our scholars and our testing environment, accordingly. Lunch visits will resume next semester after benchmark testing. So, stay tuned!
Family Feast day is this Friday, November 22nd! We can't wait to see all of our families join us for our special day! Make sure you pack your patience and purchase your tickets in advance so we can send your visitor passes home with your child. Parents who register and pay early will receive their lunch tickets and their preprinted tags. Upon entry, they'll just need to sign in and proceed to the cafeteria for their child's designated lunch time! So, take advantage of the Early Bird Offer and fly by the front office crowd!
Our Scholastic Book Fair will also be open during Family Feast! We ask that you help support our school and help promote the importance of reading! Swing by and share the wonderful experience of picking out GREAT BOOKS for your child to read over the holiday breaks!
Guess who's coming to town! Naughty or nice, this special guest will be checking his list twice! So, stay tuned for more information about PICS WITH SANTA coming in December.
We wish you all an amazing week! Thanks for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Keisha Womack
Principal

CAMPUS AND DISTRICT ASSESSMENTS OVERVIEW!
Testing Schedule & Expectations
As you know our Campus Based Assessments (CBAs) are this week for 3rd - 5th graders. We look forward to reviewing the data to determine the level of mastery of the curriculum so we can make the necessary adjustments in planning and instruction. This will allow us to continue to monitor and enhance our campus' academic achievement! Understanding our campus needs through these current data sets, will allow us to grow from our current grade of a "D" to a letter "B" or higher! Our PreK - 2nd will continue working through their curriculum and prepare for the MOY testing in December! We will be sending out our MAPS GROWTH CHART and AWARD PLAN next week! Make sure your scholar is at school every day!

PREREGISTER TO AVOID DELAY!
Every child got a Presale ticket order form last week to take home. Please fill out the bottom of the form and return with your cash payment. We will send back your lunch tickets, as well as your visitor's tag(s), prior to the event! If you do not want to make a trip to the school and wait in line for tickets and visitor tags, please send your preorder form back by this Wednesday, November 20th to ensure we have ample time to print visitor tags and deliver both tickets/visitor tags to the scholars to take home! Anyone needing tickets on Thursday, November 21st or Friday, November 22nd, must visit the front office with a valid ID, cash, as well as patience! Be mindful that our front office staff must also serve our students and staff and ensure safety and security. So, we ask for your understanding and cooperation!

QUICK LINKS
Looking for ways to help! We would love to have you!
We are looking for volunteers and parents who are interested in supporting our scholars and staff this year. There are many ways to get involved. You can get involved behind the scenes, holding a PTO Board Office, volunteering at campus events, or so many other ways. Please complete both forms below:
BOOKER VOLUNTEER FORM 24-25 Spring ISD Volunteer Form.
It is important to do both forms. One is tailored just for us and specifies what you'd like to do as a volunteer and the other application is a district mandate for all Volunteers in Schools.
Booker Volunteer Interest Form
Spring ISD VIP Volunteer application:
We must get you approved by the district before serving on campus as a volunteer. Booker's volunteer interest form is just a way that we can try to track our interested parents and community members on the district's spreadsheet and get them in faster! However, it is not the actual volunteer request form! So, please visit the VIP Website and complete the application! Please call the front office and let the front office know that you have been approve as a VIP for our district! This system will allow us to track your status and get you registered for next year. We would like to start developing our Parent Engagement Team interest to hopefully roll out BIGGER AND BETTER THINGS FOR BOOKER!
