These students represent the very best of the Valle Vista League. They lead with integrity, excellence, and Viking pride!!!

Congratulations to Hope Peoples and Sebastian Ramirez on being honored as 2025 Habitat for Humanity Community Builder Award recipients! Staff Recognition
I just need to shout out these guys again! Northview girls wrestling coach Roy Lazaro and Northview boys wrestling coach Bobby Bellamy have been named the California State Wrestling Coaches of the Year by the California Coaches Association. This is a tremendous honor, recognizing not only their excellence but the spirit of dedication, resilience, and leadership they inspire in our student-athletes. Each year, only one boys coach and one girls coach are selected statewide for this prestigious award, making their achievement even more remarkable. Congratulations to Coach Lazaro and Coach Bellamy for representing Northview and setting a standard of excellence for all!
Athletic Excellence
A huge shout out to coach Rice and the boys tennis team for earning a division 6 entry, as a number two seed, in the CIF playoffs. Our boys face off against Pacifica on Wednesday at 2:00pm. Go Vikings!

Wellness Center
Greetings from the Wellness Center,
Did you know May is Mental Health Awareness Month?
Mental Health Awareness Month aims to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma, and promote access to care for all.
Mental health is essential for overall well-being at every stage of life. Regardless of age, background, or experience, prioritizing mental health strengthens individuals, families, and communities.
This year’s theme acknowledges mental health can be a spectrum and aims to meet people where they are in their journey, celebrating the small wins along the way and reinforcing the idea that it’s “ok not to be ok.”
This May it's time to move beyond awareness and take meaningful steps towards better mental health for ourselves and our communities.
Take a look at the below flyers for upcoming events in May

Staff Spotlight
Meet Mrs. Corina Perez, one of our passionate English teachers whose journey spans from the wide-open plains of rural Wyoming to the bustling classrooms of Southern California. With a love for literature and a talent for connecting with students, Mrs. Perez brings both heart and experience to her teaching every day. She loves sharing book recommendations and having discussions about literature.
Outside the classroom, life is full and energetic—Mrs. Perez is the proud mom of two active toddlers who keep her on her toes. Whether she’s cheering them on at their latest sports games or rooting for her favorite team, the L.A. Dodgers, she’s all about high energy and big smiles.
It is no wonder she thrives in a class setting that is bustling with great conversation as comes from a beautifully blended family with a whopping total of 11 siblings! Her background has given her a deep appreciation for different perspectives, which she brings into her teaching and interactions with students.
We're lucky to have such a dynamic, dedicated educator on our team! We adore you, Mrs. Perez!
