WEEKLY MESSAGE
Happy Thanksgiving, Arovista!
As a reminder, there is NO SCHOOL next week due to the Thanksgiving Break. Trimester 1 Report Cards will be going home with your Allstars today. Take time over the break to review your Allstar's progress and celebrate their strengths! This is a great opportunity to develop learning plans together to help address areas where growth may be needed moving through Trimester 2. Please click below for goal-setting resources for you and your Allstar if interested.
On behalf of our incredible Arovista Staff, I would like to wish our students, families, and community a safe, restful, & happy Thanksgiving Break! I am so very thankful to not only be a part of the Arovista community as your principal, but this year, as a parent as well. Working alongside our teachers and support staff everyday to impact the lives of our Allstars through creating memory-making moments and meaningful learning experiences is an incredible privilege. Thank you for a great first Trimester!
Please see sections below for more detailed information pertaining to upcoming events involving our Allstars:
- Monday, 11/20 - Friday, 11/24: THANKSGIVING BREAK
- Tuesday, 12/5: Trimester 1 Awards (RESCHEDULED DATE)
- due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, we needed to move our Trimester 1 Awards ceremonies back by one week to the 12/5 date. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused in your planning.
We look forward to seeing our Allstars back on campus on Monday, November 27th. Have a great Thanksgiving Break!
In Partnership,
Mr. Barrientos

Show RESPECT by wearing YELLOW/GOLD on MONDAYS!
Allstars, in the months of NOVEMBER/DECEMBER, we are emphasizing RESPECT. We want to emphasize this pillar of character by teaching our Allstars to: Treat others with respect; follow the Golden Rule • Use good manners, not bad language • Be considerate of the feelings of others • Don't threaten, hit or hurt anyone • Deal peacefully with anger, insults and disagreements. Let's go, Allstars!

Allstars Focus on College & Careers this Fall
October:
Our Allstars were driven to shoot for their STARS and college dreams by showing them pictures of their own Arovista Staff at their university commencements! Come see your Arovista Staff in their caps, gowns and hoods from their respective universities!
November:
Our Allstars saw where their Arovista ended up in their university commencement pictures in October...now in November, they get to see where their Arovista staff began their journeys! This interactive career exploration bulletin board is for our students who are curious to find out the types of jobs the teachers and staff had before working at our school. Here is a photo of some of our students stopping to read the careers and loved guessing which teacher/staff had what career!
