7TH GRADE ATHLETICS @ WSMS
Are you thinking of or planning on being involved in athletics as a seventh grader at Willow Springs? There are a few things that need to be accomplished for that to take place. One of which is mandatory UIL baseline concussion testing. All students who participate in a UIL governed activity must complete a baseline concussion test before they are allowed to participate. In Lovejoy we use Sway Medical to conduct this test. Sway is an app that tests basic tasks such as reaction time, memory, and balance. More information can be found using the links below.
Who: Incoming 7th graders interested in athletics
When: May 6th-9th during your PE class periods
What they will need: If you have a phone, please come with the Sway Medical App already downloaded. We will have Ipads with the app for those who do not have a phone with them.

NURSE'S NOTES
NEW! Medication Pick Up
If your child has medication at school, please make sure your child has exactly enough medicine to finish the school year. Parents/Guardians are responsible for picking up extra medication. It is against school district policy to send medication home with students. Medication, including inhalers, that has not been picked up will be discarded May 24 at noon.
Calling all 11 year olds!
There are two required booster vaccines that are given at age 11 that Lovejoy ISD must have a record of before entering the 7th grade:
TDaP (Tetanus) booster within the last 5 years
Meningococcal/Meningitis (MCV4) given on or after the 11th birthday
Immunization records may be dropped off in the Sloan Creek front office, mailed, faxed, or emailed to the School Nurse.
Sloan Creek Intermediate School 440 Country Club Road Fairview, TX 75069
Fax: 888-683-0420

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
