Parent Discipline Advisory Report

Dr. Scott Warren, D103 Superintendent, shared the Parent Discipline Advisory Report with the Board. A Parent Advisory Committee meets annually to review the district’s discipline policies. Changes to the policies were not recommended.

Preliminary Budget for 2024-2025

Patrick Palbicke, Assistant Superintendent for Business, presented the board with the preliminary 2024-2025 District 103 Budget document. The Board will continue to review the preliminary budget until it is adopted later this summer. The district expects to have a balanced budget as it proposes to receive $43.85 million in revenue with $43.34 million in expenses. Programming changes, salary adjustments, and health insurance costs contribute to the majority of expenditures, Mr. Palbicke said.

Salary Approvals

The Board approved salary recommendations for administrators, teacher associates, and classified staff. The increases are within the range of other area school districts and will keep salaries competitive in Lake County.

The next Board of Education meeting will occur at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18. The notice and agenda can be found on the District 103 Board meeting website page. Members of the community should attend the meeting at 111 Barclay Boulevard, Lincolnshire if they would like to make a public comment. The public can also contact the Board at board@d103.org.
