INCREDIBLES CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
On Mondays over the next weeks, 5th, 6th and 7th graders in six learning communities are getting familiar with cross country skiing. The Catamount Ski Association is supplying the equipment (boots, skis, poles) for students to learn with. This Monday, January 22nd, students learned put their boots in the ski bindings so that they could do a loop around the upper soccer field. There was barely enough snow to make the experience possible. One thing became clear, students need to come to school with more winter gear. Hats, gloves and waterproof pants make skiing more pleasant. There were still quite a few smiles and some laughter during their time outside.
ADVENTURERS KINDERGARTEN YOGA DURING P.E. CLASS
Ms. Jarvis shared a few pictures of Ms. Bolton's classroom group participating in a yoga session during their P.E. class. 12-6-2023
TROUT EGGS HAVE HATCHED
The 100 Trout eggs delivered earlier in month have all hatched! The eggs have been stored in complete darkness since they arrived. The water is kept at 50 - 55 degrees. During the next few weeks the trout are in the alevin stage. These baby fish, alevin, are motionless and will stay at the bottom of the net. They will develop and grow so they can begin to swim and feed. They will continue to have limited light during this time. If anyone is interested in checking them out in the coming weeks, please reach out to Team USA.
