Spring is just around the corner and so is Spring & Kindergarten Graduation Picture Day! SMS parents/guardians, if you'd like photos taken of your student(s) on Tues., 3/25, order online at mylifetouch.com, or use the paper order forms that came home. Students getting SPRING pictures taken may dress up out of uniform on 3/25, Montessori K & Kindergarten students may dress up or wear their uniforms under the supplied cap & gowns for their photos.

The weather will be warming up for good soon (we hope!) and it’s time to think about Summer! SMS Summer Programs will be offered select weeks, Monday through Friday for rising Montessori PreK3 - grade 5 students. See details and sign up links below. Sessions will be open to current SMS students first before they are offered to other students within our parish family or the general public.

Sign up now to receive exposure in our Spring Musical program - choose a traditional printed ad, or receive online exposure with a link to your website as a “Spotlight” sponsor! Multiple sponsorship levels are available, choose the package that best fits your family’s or business’s needs. Your generous, tax-deductible gift of sponsorship will help purchase costumes for our students, refurbish sets, and defray the cost of purchasing new curtains, mats and canvas backdrops for our stage! We are in dire need of funds to replace these items. Help us keep the St. Mary’s stage looking beautiful for the Drama Club, and all school and parish groups that use it. Parents of Catholic school students must request transportation services directly from the public school district in which they live. The deadline for submitting written requests for transportation is April 1, 2025 for the 2025-2026 school year for ALL DISTRICTS. Please join us for our annual Scout Mass to be held on Sunday March 23rd at 11:00 am in the Church. All scouts and adult leaders (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, American Heritage Girls, etc.) are encouraged to wear their uniform to Mass. Please arrive by 10:40 am, as we will process in together when Mass begins. Please contact Margaret Terrill with any questions (mterrill44@yahoo.com, 716-908-7684).

Girl Scout Cookies will be available from the SMS Brownie & Daisy Troops on 3/22 & 3/23 after weekend Masses at St. Teresa’s in Akron, and on 3/29 & 3/30 after weekend Masses at St. Mary’s in Swormville. Cookies are $6/box, proceeds support the SMS Brownie & Daisy Troops. Can’t eat cookies but still want to support the Girl Scouts? Purchase a box to donate to those in need via the Clarence Food Pantry!

Although we’ve recently been blessed with some beautiful, warm weather, this is a friendly reminder that students are not allowed to wear shorts, or the “Warm Weather Uniform Tee” until May 1st. Warm Weather Uniform t-shirts may be worn between May 1st and October 31st, these shirts are available through the HSA Spirit Wear Sale and do not include any other St. Mary’s t-shirts or Phys Ed t-shirts. Dress shorts may be worn May 1st through October 31st for those who wish. They must conform to the style sold by the Flynn & O’Hara and McKay’s uniform companies. Remind your students (and yourself) to contribute your spare change to the Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl that was sent home at the beginning of Lent. Small sacrifices can go a long way towards improving the lives of others in our community and our world this Lent!

Spring is here and we know your schedules are getting busier by the minute! Maybe you didn’t have time to get those uniforms in the laundry, perhaps your Flynn O’Hara order with uniform shorts and short sleeves hasn’t arrived, maybe it’s your child’s birthday, or maybe (hopefully) it’s a really warm weather day! Whatever the reason is, with HSA's new Spring Flex Dress Down Pass, you receive *FIVE* flexible dress down days of your choosing in April, May, and June.

We’re looking forward to seeing SMS Boys & their VIPs this Saturday at 6 pm for "It's Game Time”!

Friday, March 28⋅6:30 – 8:30pm, SMS Gymnasium

5th Grade will begin with their presentation of "The Living Stations of the Cross”, followed by the 7th graders' "Play" part of the night with simple games and activities that cost .50 cents-$1.00 each. Ice cream will be available for $1-3. The night will also include the PIE IN THE FACE activity and annual CAKE WALK! YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS this tradition for the school children and a beautiful time to reflect on our faith. We are looking for volunteers to help that night, and donations of ice cream treats- click the link below to see what’s needed.
