Welcome, Kanga Team, to our first edition of the Library Quarterly. My hope is that these newsletters will serve as evidence for our mission and school improvement goals, as well as the importance for having a school librarian and library program in every school, not just ours. Please feel free to communicate your professional or instructional needs and how I might improve the library's programming and services.
We are now in our 2nd marking period, and here is what's been happening since the 2024-2025 school year began.

About Your Librarian
- I am a teacher of 15+ years, so I'm comfortable coteaching, cooperating or collaborating. 🌍
- I have taught all grades in ES and MS except for1st and 3rd. 📚
- What I love about being a librarian is seeing young readers get excited over a new book. ❤️ 📖
- My current read (well, I'm reading 5 right now) but current fav = "The Mona Lisa Vanishes: by Nicholas Day. Book club anyone? 📘
- My favorite book adventure is... reading with others and having great book talks! 📚✨

Bullying Prevention Month
Students created posters that were posted in halls during Kindness Week, and all month, we shared small, random acts of kindness. Let's keep it going all year, Kanga team!
Interested students will begin preparing for Battle of the Books for next semester.
We will participate this year, for the 1st time, in Battle of the Books. Team members will be selected
in January.
