Principal's Message
Principal's Message
It's hard to believe that we have entered the month November and the first semester of school is almost complete. This school year is moving along quickly. We are extremely proud of what our students have accomplished so far and look forward to their continued success.
Cooler weather is on the way. Please make sure that your child/children are dressed appropriately for the weather. Jackets, hats, gloves, scarves, etc. are needed when the temperature drops really low. Make sure your child's/children's names are inside of their personal items so they don't get lost. Contact the Family Engagement Center if you need support with any of these items.
On November 11, we honor the sacrifices our veterans and their family members have made for our country in the name of freedom and democracy. We have a number of staff members and parents who have served or have family members who have served/are serving in the armed forces. Thank you to each veteran for their bravery, hard work, and dedication to our country.
Thank you for your continued support!
Generals Salute,
Mrs. Clowers

Attendance:
- School attendance has a direct impact on achievement. A student missing just two or more days each month can be considered chronically absent. Research has proven that this can cause a decrease in reading level and other areas. Encouraging regular school attendance can also contribute to positive lifelong habits.
Tardiness:
- Please make sure your child attends school on time. Partee ES starts at 8:20 am.
- Students are tardy at 8:50 am.
Helpful tips for regular attendance:
- Schedule appointments and/or vacations outside of school hours or on non-school days.
- Assure that your child has a regular bedtime, minimize technology before sleep.
- Develop evening routines such as laying out clothes and school materials.
- Communicate any absence causes with the classroom teacher.
- Send in attendance notes when your child is absent within 5 days after the student has return to school.

Partee's Flag Football Team
Congratulations to our first ever boys' flag football team. Our students competed against Annistown during the month of October. They played well and the games were so exciting. I am so proud of our students. Thank you to our coaches Mr. DeMunn, Ms. Hardin, and Ms. Rhodes.
From the Clinic
You should keep your child at home if he/she might spread an illness to other children. Children who are sick have a difficult time participating in class and learning.
- Fever Children with a temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher should stay at home until there is no fever for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications. If your child returns to school with a fever, he/she could still be contagious.
- Respiratory Illnesses Symptoms may include fever, chills, fatigue, cough, runny nose, and/or headache. Your child should stay home until symptoms are getting better overall AND no fever for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications.
- Vomiting Any child who has vomited twice in 24 hours should stay home. Your child may return to school after 24 hours of NO vomiting or fever.
- Diarrhea: one event of watery diarrhea is reason for your child to stay home from school. Your child may return after 24 hours of NO diarrhea. Call your child’s doctor if fever, rash, dehydration, or weakness are present.
- Persistent Cough If your child’s cough is worse than you would expect with a cold, keep your child home from school. If he/she suddenly develops a cough, has a hard time breathing, or has a fever, call your child’s doctor.
- Sore throat If your child has a severe sore throat or a sore throat with a fever, headache, or stomachache, keep your child home and call your child’s doctor.
- Pinkeye/Conjunctivitis If your child has red eye(s) with drainage that is cloudy or yellow, crusting, and/or pain, call your child’s doctor. If child has bacterial conjunctivitis, he/she may return after beginning treatment.
Make sure that your child’s school knows how to reach you during the day. Remember to update your phone contact numbers throughout the school year.
