What's Up At The Nest...
Principal's Message
Dear OMS Families,
Thank you to our families that lined the sidewalk for our shortened Halloween Parade. After two years of no parade, we couldn't let a little drizzle stop us! We wish all of our families a safe and wonderful weekend.
If you weren't able to join us, please click HERE for our Halloween Video.
Stay dry!

CANDOR PARENT NIGHT - 5th GRADE
As part of the District 25 fifth grade health education program, your child has the opportunity to participate in three programs sponsored by Candor Health Education. The programs include The Science Behind Drugs, Puberty I- Understanding Changes, and Human Reproduction and Embryology.
The Science Behind Drugs helps students make healthy choices to lead a drug-free life. Students will learn how drugs affect the body systems, especially the brain, which can lead to addiction. Students will also learn refusal skills to arm them with tools to help them make positive decisions regarding drug use. Puberty I-Understanding Changes recognizes the significance of physical body changes that occur during puberty and encourages students to maintain a healthy body image, showing respect for others and self-esteem are also emphasized. Human Reproduction and Embryology teaches students about the functions of the reproductive system. The program also includes the development of a fetus from conception to birth.
Please join us virtually at 7pm on November 9-11 to view the entire program your student will be shown.
