Dear St. Anne Parents,

Tomorrow we will have our Opening School Mass at 1:30. At this Mass we will be installing our new Student Council - Officers and Commissioners. I want to congratulate our new Student Council and wish them the very best as they take on this important leadership position. I also want to thank their parents who will be assisting their child with their new role. When a child is elected or volunteers for a school position, there is always an assumption that their parent will be instrumental in helping. Knowing that also, THANK YOU PARENTS and congratulations on your child's new office.

Now that we have had a few weeks of practice dropping off and picking up your children, the teachers and I see that there are some parents who are not following our procedures. For EVERYONE'S SAFETY, please follow these simple procedures:.

• At no time are parents to leave their cars double-parked and unattended!!
  
• Please do not drop-off children and have them walk across the street. Use the crosswalk on Funston Avenue and Irving Street. Our crossing guard, Moon, is a lovely person and works very hard to ensure the safety of all our students!!!!
  
• Please drop your child off on either the Funston Avenue and Irving Street schoolyard side.
  
• Please exercise CAUTION AT ALL TIMES when driving near the school.
  
• THIS IS ANOTHER IMPORTANT REMINDER: Please move forward to the gate and do not wait in your car after your child has exited the car before moving up in line. Doing this backs up all the parents who are waiting behind you!
  

Our parent tours for parents considering placing their child/children here for the 2022-2023 school year will begin in September. Interested families should contact the school office to reserve a date. If you know of a family member or have friends looking for a warm family oriented school, please share the dates for them to visit and tour the school.

Kid Stock is excited to announce open enrollment for the after school drama program beginning September 20. Attached you will find detailed information for the upcoming program.

Mr. Josh Frye will be offering a new in-person music program this year, Latin Percussion. Open to students in grades four through eight, it will be held on Mondays. Download and return the form to register.

We are happy to announce that Choir is returning to our school. It is open to students in grades three through eight and practices will be held on Monday afternoon the last period before dismissal. Mrs. Flaviani has arranged for the choir to sing at several venues during this year, as well as at school Masses. Please download the forms for more information and to register your child.

Robotics Club will be offered on Tuesday after school for students in grades six through eight. If your child is interested, please print and return the form to Miss Creedon.

Academic Chess will begin on Friday, September 17 from 3:15-4:15 p.m. For more information and to register see the attached flyer.

Tennis will begin Monday, Sept. 13 from 2:30-3:30 (runs 1-2 on minimum days) in the school yard. Yoga will begin Thursday, Sept. 9 from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in the school library.
