Wildcat Weekly!
Wildcat Newsletter!
This week we crowned our new Teacher of the Year and Educational Professional of the Year: Congratulations to Mrs. Edwards-Cruz, art teacher, and Ms. McLoughlin, speech therapist (pictured right). Both are incredible at what they do! They are dedicated professionals who are student advocates and are incredibly innovative in their classrooms. We thank everyone who contributed to this selection process.
Our Holiday Shop and PTO Craft Fair was held yesterday and it was an incredible success. It was so heartwarming to see our students and families enjoying the holiday season together. There are so many people to thank for the success of this event. Our hardworking PTO, parent volunteers, teacher volunteers and our student elf helpers!
Several attendance winners for the month of November! See the pictures below.
We are continuing our lessons on Generosity. This week we continued our activities and discussions about the importance of being generous and how we can not only be generous by giving, but also by delivering a kind word or action towards others. We are also encouraging students to perform small acts of kindness, such as helping a classmate with their work or writing a thank-you note to someone who has helped them. Congratulations to our Kindness winners of the week...Aubrie and Ubaldo!

Stay Connected! School Communication
As you know, district and school communication are vitally important. Here at Walnut Street Elementary School, we use various means of communication. ParentSquare is a communication app that we use to get information out quickly to our school community. It is a great idea to download the ParentSquare app to your Smartphone and make sure you use banners, sounds, badges, and push notifications so you know a message was sent. ParentSquare also sends an email to you when something is posted and can also translate into any language. Please download the app today!
Finally, the school has an active Instagram Account that we post the many happenings at Walnut Street. This account has over 360 followers. On this handle, we post amazing pictures and video of the goings on during the school year. Please follow us on Instagram: @wsewildcats
