This is a final reminder that Senior Pictures and Quotes for the Yearbook are due by this Friday, December 20! Please see the flyer below in this newsletter for more information.
Spirit Week: Monday, December 16 - Friday, December 20. The MHS Student Council will be sponsoring a themed Spirit Week for the final days before our extended holiday break. Signage and posters will be going up around the building soon, in addition to announcements and notification through our newsletters. Also, on Wednesday, December 18 during Mustang Time the Student Council will be coming around to classrooms with their Candy Cane Cart to spread some cheer. (The Spirit Week and Candy Cane Cart are the only planned activities for the final week before break)
As a reminder, our upcoming week will follow the Green/White color rotation schedule below:
Monday 12/16 - GREEN
Tuesday 12/17 - WHITE
Wednesday 12/18 - GREEN
Thursday 12/19 - WHITE
Friday 12/20 - GREEN
As we work hard to wrap up the final week of school in 2024 I am hopeful that we can all look back on our time at MHS this year and be proud of our efforts thus far. Happy Holidays to everyone in our school community - I hope the time off from school is restful and relaxing for all.

HOLIDAY SPIRIT WEEK
Monday, December 16: Holiday headwear and/or silly socks (ribbons, bows, bells, characters)
Tuesday, December 17: Lumberjack (flannels) vs Grinch (flannels or green)
Wednesday, December 18: Twin Day (dress like someone else in school)
Thursday, December 19: Winter Gear (ski wear, sled or outdoor weather wear, etc.)
Friday, December 20: Pajama Day (wear appropriate pj's)

Holiday Food Resources Available for Those In Need
The Maine Department of Education (DOE) has opened applications for its 2025 Student Cabinet, a group of students that meets with the Maine DOE to discuss educational initiatives, opportunities, improvements, and policy. Applications are due on Friday, December 20, 2024. FMI such as who is eligible, the meeting schedule for 2025, and instructions for applying, use this link.
Mr. Petermann (SRTC Director) & MHS Students Present to Sophomore Class
Thank you to Mr. Peterman for presenting our sophomore class with important information about Sanford Regional Technical Center. We would also like to thank our student panelists: Sage Taylor, Jack Lessard, Finnegan Lee, Kylie Mancuso-Lane, Anna Howe, and Deanna Watson.
Grade 10 Students have the opportunity to visit SRTC on January 7th. To attend, students must submit the Google Form that was emailed to them by 12/17. There is also a field trip form in the Guidance Office that needs to be completed by January 3rd.

211 Maine: The holiday season is upon us. While this time can be fun and happy, it can also be very stressful. 211 Maine is a website that connects people to local services and resources for things such as heat & utility assistance, housing assistance, transportation assistance, mental health resources, and more.
