The location of our graduation ceremony this year is Colin Powell Middle School’s neighbor, Victory Apostolic Church (20801 Matteson Avenue, Matteson, IL). The School Board and Administration of School District 159 and Colin Powell Middle School wish to thank the Church for making this wonderful facility available to host this special occasion for our graduates and their families. This is a public school event and the use of this building is only for the convenience of our participants. District 159 does not mean to suggest by use of the building an endorsement of the beliefs or mission of Victory Apostolic Church in particular or any other religious group in general. Elementary School District 159 families and staff come from many religious and cultural backgrounds. We respect and rejoice in both the diversity of those backgrounds and the shared values and achievements of our graduating students.
