It's hard to believe that we are well into second marking period. Lots of activities were held in October as you will see below and we have a filled November as well. Students have been working hard on their reflections from the first quarter and goal setting for the second marking period. They have been practicing for their student-led conferences the last week or so. We had 33% of our student families attend conferences. If you were not able to join us, teachers will be trying to connect with you regarding your child's school progress in the next week or two.
November is a time of gratefulness and kindness. Kindness week starts on Veteran's Day. HMS sends a special thank you to all of our Hornet Nation Veterans! HMS is joining Robotics in a Thanksgiving food drive collection during this month as well as kindness week activities and Thanksgiving Intervention/Incentive Activity Day on November 26th.
