March Weekly Update
Week of Monday, March 24th-28th, 2025
What's Happening This Week:
Dear MVE Families,
The snow is melting off our playground, and spring is upon us. Although spring is here, we will be ending our week with our annual Winter Olympics Assembly on Friday from 9:30-10:30. Selected students from each class will compete in teams. It's always an exciting, and sometimes loud way to jump into spring break.
Next week schools are closed in observance of Spring Break: March 31st-April 4th.
Thanks for all your support of our students.
Sincerely,
Paul Gutzler
MVE Principal

From Bob Winters, Dean of Students
Hello Everyone,
During my first year of teaching, one of the important things I noticed was how creative children were in their play. Their ability to invent, adapt, and use minimal objects or equipment as a springboard into creative play, has continued to amaze me throughout my time in education. And our kids here are especially clever in these ways. A stick, a rock, a few pine cones, some water, some mud - these simple props become fairy homes, canals, parts of tagging games, and any number of make-believe situations, even for our older elementary students. It is refreshing to see these enduring aspects of childhood over 50 years, even when life has become so complex, so technology-heavy, with more and more time spent inside. Enjoy the extra time you have with these creative kids over spring break!
