It has been another great week at Spalding Drive! Our students have been laser focused on their midyear iReady diagnostic this week and have been knocking it out of the park.

During this season of gratitude and giving we have the opportunity to reflect on all the gifts we have here at Spalding. We also know that we have community members that have needs during this time. Please see the message below from Mr. Stevenson on how we can ensure that all of our families in our community have a happy holiday season.

You too can help bring a little extra joy to a Spalding family this holiday season! Every year SDE hosts a program called Helping Hands that collects and distributes gifts to families that might need a little help during this season. Like last year, we are again collecting gift cards for Walmart, Target, Publix, or Kroger in amounts of $15, $20, or $25! If you would like to help, you can send your donation to school with your child in an envelope marked Helping Hands cc: Mr. Stevenson. Please indicate the amount of the gift cards. All gift cards will have to be received by Friday, December 13th. Thanks so much for your generosity! Any surplus donations we receive will be donated to foster families in need. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Stevenson.

The last community meeting about the potential closure and consolidation of Spalding Drive Elementary School, including its redistricting impact on neighboring schools will be held Monday, December 9, at Riverwood High School from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. For more information, visit www.fultonschools.org/redistricting.

To make the yearbook as special and inclusive as possible, we would love to collect photos from all families that capture memorable moments from throughout the year. Whether it's class activities, school events, field trips, or any fun moments you’ve captured, we want to see them!

How You Can Contribute:

Please follow these simple steps to submit your yearbook photos via email:

1. Attach your photos to an email.
2. In the email body, include the following details:

4. The event or activity featured in the photo (if applicable)
