Welcome Back!

We are thrilled to welcome our students and families back for a fantastic school year. Our dedicated team of teachers and staff have been hard at work preparing for your child's return. From setting up classrooms to planning engaging lessons, we are committed to creating a supportive and enriching environment where every student can thrive.

Meet the Teacher Night

To help you and your child get acquainted with their new teacher and classroom, we will be hosting an Open House and Meet the Teacher Night this Thursday. This will be a great opportunity to visit the school, drop off supplies, meet the staff, and learn more about what’s in store for the upcoming year. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we complete our school improvements.

Reminders and Upcoming Dates

• Meet the Teacher Night: Thursday, August 8; 5-7pm (come and go)
• First Day of School: Monday, August 12; doors open at 7:30am, school starts at 8:00am. Due to safety, construction, and limited space, parents will NOT be allowed in the building to escort students to class. Staff will be there to support students with this transition.

As always, we value open communication and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to support you and your child throughout the school year.

Meet the Teacher Night Information

• Date and Time: Thursday, August 8 5:00-7:00 pm
• Location: Families will enter the Student Entry Door on the St. Judes side (see arrival map).

• Come and Go: Feel free to drop in during the event times. The event ends at 7:00pm.
• Class Assignments: Upon entry, you’ll find your child’s class assignments posted.
• Teacher Meet & Greet: Meet your child’s teacher and see their classroom.

What to Bring:

• Supplies: If possible, please bring your child’s school supplies and label the box of supplies with your child’s name (labeling each individual supply is not necessary)

If you are unable to attend Meet the Teacher

• Rosters will be posted on Kramer School Remind the next day. Be sure to join if you have not already!
• Staff will be available to assist students in finding their classes at the student entrance.

If you are new to Kramer Elementary, we invite you to join us for a special New Parent Breakfast hosted by the PTA:

• Date: Monday, August 12
• Time: 7:45 - 8:15 AM
• Location: Learning Lab (See map below)

Enjoy coffee and a light breakfast while getting to know other new families and learning more about our school.

Please park on Mason Dells and walk directly to the Learning Lab.

• Dismissal of Pre-K, Kinder, 1st, and 2nd graders and their older siblings:

  • Carpool Direction: Westbound on Midbury, from St. Michaels.

  • Pick up Location: Corner of Midbury at St. Judes intersection

  • Assistance: Adults will be present to to ensure student safety

  • Carpool Sign: To facilitate a smooth process, please use the Carpool Sign that will be provided on Meet the Teacher Night. Additional signs are available from your teacher.

  • Staff Parking Lot: Do not enter the staff parking lot.

  • Parking: Do not park on Midbury or St. Judes. We encourage use the carpool process instead.

  Dismissal of 3rd, 4th and 5th graders:

  • Pick-Up Location: Tunica Dr, in the southbound direction.

  • Students will be supervised by teachers and load into cars from gate exit by the portables

  Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring a smooth and efficient dismissal process!

• Students who ride the bus will exit and board the buses on St. Judes.

• If your child receives transportation through Special Education services, that will be arranged through the Special Education Department.

Thursday, August 29: Parent Orientation 6:00-7:00 (teachers will go over class expectations and procedures)

Fall Sports Registration is now open. Soccer is available for boys and girls Pre K- 5th grade, Flag Football for boys K - 5th grade, and volleyball for girls 3rd - 5th grade. Please note that the scholarship process has changed this year and scholarships will be handled directly by the YMCA. Details can be found on the registration website.

Please reach out to kramerathletics@gmail.com with any questions. The PTA is here to help and does not want the cost to keep any student from playing, and can help you with the scholarship process.

School times are 8:00-3:20pm.

The first day of school is Monday, August 12. Parents will not be allowed to escort child to class.

Doors open at 7:30am.

After 8:00am, students will be considered tardy.

Attendance is imperative! Please ensure that your child is at school on time on a daily basis.

More information on when to bring them will be provided.

The district will provide clear backpacks for every student. Schools will receive the clear backpacks before the first day of the school year. The campus principal will communicate the distribution process of the clear backpacks to families. The district will not provide mesh backpacks. Click HERE for more information.

Navy Blue, Kelly Green, or White Shirts are acceptable.

With construction going on, we will try to keep you updated with any news as it relates to space each week.

This project started at the beginning of summer and is set to continue through the 24-25 school year. Please know that the active work will not impact the learning environment for our students. The work hours and locations will work around student hours.

Some of the work that has already been completed includes:

• Newly paved parking lot
• Roofing
• Relocation and updates to playground
• New lighting, ceilings and floors in hallways
• New boards for teachers in classrooms
• Fresh paint in classrooms and halls
