Mr. Schnaus Named Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools and Programs
Mr. Lance Schnaus has served as the principal of Arthur C. Newby Elementary since July 2017. In the summer of 2025, he will transition to the role of Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools and Programs for the School Town of Speedway. A dedicated educator with 20 years of experience, Mr. Schnaus began his career as a classroom teacher for seven years before moving into administration, where he has served in leadership roles for the past 13 years, all within the elementary setting. Under his leadership, Arthur C. Newby Elementary has consistently ranked among the top 5-10% of academic elementary schools in Indiana.
Mr. Schnaus holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Supervision from Ball State University. In the summer of 2025, he will begin his Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree at Indiana State University as he continues his pursuit of excellence in educational leadership.
