Kindergarten Round-Up

Families of registered kindergarteners are urgently requested to bring their child to a kindergarten assessment prior to the first day of school. The assessment will take approximately 30 minutes to administer and will provide the Kindergarten teachers with information we can use to plan for Kindergarten Round-Up.

Kindergarten assessment dates are:

Monday, August 26th from 8:30-3:00
Tuesday, August 27th from 8:30-3:00

Prior to the first day of school all kindergarten PARENTS are invited to attend an orientation session.

The parents will meet with the kindergarten team for an overview of the kindergarten program. During this parent session, you will learn about each aspect of kindergarten and what you can expect throughout the year. Teachers will respond to any questions you may have during the Q&A time. In order to fully focus on this important information, we are asking that no children join you for this session. This orientation is for the parent/guardian to grasp a complete understanding of the importance of Kindergarten.

Kindergarten Orientation is: Wednesday, August 28 at 1:30 in the cafeteria.

Soft Start is a student-centered approach to starting elementary school. Kindergarten Round-Up Soft Start is a way to start the new school year that allows Kindergarten teachers and our support team to understand better your child's academic, social, and behavioral needs. This year we have added a team of mental health specialists to participate in our soft start launch and assist us in creating an ideal environment for learning. Throughout the soft start, teachers will be collecting student data and collaborating to ensure our classes are balanced and best designed for your child's success.
