AEHS Weekly Newsletter
May 19, 2024
Good evening, Titans!
Happy Sunday! First, let me say, I do not support counting down the days until the end of the school year. However, it is almost unbelievable that there are only four weeks left until the end of the school year, and it is even harder to believe that this is the last week of school for seniors, and the fact that it still feels like fall outside does not help! That said, we still have several exciting activities coming up as we close out this week with seniors; please see the calendar items below and come out and join us.
Also, we had an exciting time last week with our Instrumental Music Concert, VAC Spring Art Show, College Signing Day, Spring Choral Concert, Girl's Regional Softball Playoff Game, and the list goes on. Congratulations to Sean Ralston for winning Baseball Player of the Year honors, and congratulations to Mr. Greg Casement for being named the MCCPTA Teacher of the Year! You all emodie what it means to be #EinsteinProud!
Have an amazing week Titans, and best of luck to those who are playing in the HOF Golf Tournament tomorrow!
Best,
Mark Brown, Jr.
Principal

Summer Athletic Registration (NEW)
Titans,
As we embark on the summer, some of our teams will be involved with Summer Athletics and many will also be Conditioning for Fall Sports. Any athlete participating in a summer athletics or conditioning with their team will sign up using the MCPS Synergy Platform. This platform is slated to open for registration on May 20th.
Summer Registration: Starting May 20th students will sign up for "Conditioning" in that synergy platform. (Not their respective sport)
Any student that is not signed up by May 27th cannot participate with their team until they are approved in the system by the Athletic Specialist.
Coaches will be informed by the Athletic Specialist when students are officially approved.
Sometimes this may not happen the same day as the student registers. The Athletic Specialist will do their best to get this approved as soon as possible.
The system will be open all summer for students to sign up for Conditioning and be approved by the Athletic Specialist. We will continue the process daily.
Conditioning registration will be used for all out of season training throughout the year. Once you sign up for conditioning you will be approved to do out of season condition for any sport throughout the year.
All athletes will need to have an active MCPS SR-8 physical on file to be approved by the Athletic Specialist.
If there are issues with uploading the physical, please give a copy to your respective coach that will then make sure the Athletic Specialist gets it so that the approval process can move forward.
You may also email an uploaded copy toMr. Jermaine Howell and Ms. Tina Fitzpatrick
If an athlete is going to play a Fall Sport, they will have to register again in the Synergy platform beginning on July 15th for the respective sport. This is a must to be officially approved for your FALL SPORT.
